Demonstration of the refraction of the eye and refractive errors

This practical eye model has been developed to demonstrate the optical apparatus of the eye.

The eye model weighs 2.45 kg and the dimensions are 49 x 5.5 x 18 cm.

A solid storage case is included.

The model consists of the following:

• A 50 cm long rail in aluminum with 4 sliding holders for the 4 parts mentioned below
• A half eyeball with an adjustable iris diaphragm, a lens holder and 2 convex lenses

(f = 65 mm and 80 mm) mounted on a pole

• A half eyeball with retina (transparent screen) mounted on a rod
• A lens holder with a concave and a convex corrective lens mounted on a rod
• A candle holder with 2 candles (candles) on a pole

The eye model makes it possible to demonstrate the representation of objects on the retina, accommodation (via changes in the curvature of the lens), nearsightedness (myopia) and farsightedness (hypermetropia).
