Description

If you are looking for a complete model of the arm, where both the superficial and deep muscles are visible, we recommend this one.


In addition, tendons, arteries, nerves and bone components on the left arm and hand are illustrated with fine detail.


The model is produced in 3/4 of life size, weighs 1.35 kg and has the dimensions 60 x 18 x 18 cm (height x length x width). The model is delivered on a white removable stand, and can be further separated into 6 parts, as 5 groupings of the superficial muscles can be removed so that the deeper muscles become visible.
Anatomically speaking

Anatomically, the model shows the different muscle groups of the upper limb, including the muscle groups of the shoulder, upper arm, forearm and hand.



In addition, the model shows the largest arteries and nerves, as well as their relationship to the various muscles. Since the focus of the model is precisely the relationships of the muscles, the model's various joints are shown in a very light degree of detail, and these are also not movable.



As mentioned, the muscles in 5 of the superficial muscle groups are removable so that the deeper structures become visible. The muscles in question are listed below, it is stated in parentheses which muscle group they belong to).



M. brachialis, M. extensor carpi radialis longus and brevis (all part of the radial extensor log).
M. pronator teres, M. flexor carpi radialis, M. palmaris longus, M. flexor carpi ulnaris and M. flexor digitorum superficialis (the superficial muscles of the flexor joint of the forearm).
M. extensor digitorum manus, M. extensor digiti minimi, M. extensor carpi ulnaris and M. anconeus (the superficial muscles of the extensor log of the forearm)
M. biceps brachii (caput longum and caput breve) (part of the flexor tendon of the upper arm)
M. deltoideus (part of the shoulder musculature)

Clinically speaking, the model is ideal for understanding the location of the larger vessels and nerves in relation to the muscles, which is basic knowledge for procedures such as palpation, injections and surgical interventions.



The model is also ideal for understanding muscle and tendon-related disorders, including muscle pain, muscle soreness, tendinitis, such as biceps tendinitis and wrist tendinitis, as well as tennis and golfer's elbow.



It is also ideal for understanding disorders such as carpal tunnel syndrome and ulnar neuropathy.
