Description

If you are looking for a slightly enlarged ear model at the lowest possible price - an ear model that only shows the most important anatomical structures in the entire ear and nothing else, this is ideal.

The model weighs 0.34 kg and the dimensions are 14 x 10 x 14.7 cm.

The model shows the ear at one and a half times normal size and is supplied on a stand (white plastic plate).

Anatomically speaking

Anatomically, the model shows the entire ear, which consists of the outer ear (including the ear canal), the middle ear and the inner ear. In addition, part of the auditory tube (the Eustachian tube) is seen, which communicates with the nasopharynx (upper part of the throat) and the location of the ear in the temporal bone (os temoporale).

The ear model shows the most general anatomical structures such as:

The eardrum (membrana tympani)
The bones of the middle ear called the hammer (malleus), the anvil (incus) and the stapes (stapes)
The inner ear, which consists of the cochlea (cochlea) and the balance organ (including the archways)
Hearing and equilibrium nerve (nervus vestibulocochlearis)
Internal carotid artery and internal jugular vein

Movement-wise
Clinically speaking

Clinically speaking, the model can be used to understand ear diseases such as otitis media, cholesteatoma (bone eater), perforated eardrum and bullous myringitis.

Furthermore, the ear model can be used to understand examination methods and treatments such as the installation of a drain (tympanic membrane drain).
