Description

If you are looking for a hip model in a practical size, which is targeted at hip fractures and/ hip osteoarthritis (osteoarthritis), we highly recommend this package solution.

The package solution is based on the hip of an elderly person. You are presented with a hip model with a reduction of 50% compared to the hip joint of an adult, as well as a small supplementary model that shows the interior of the hip joint via a cross section. It thus illustrates the age-related changes in the hip and does not require much space.

The hip model is delivered on a stand, where the small supplementary model is also mounted. The dimensions are 14 x 10 x 22 cm and the whole thing weighs 0.4 kg.

Anatomically speaking

Anatomically, the hip model shows the iliac bone, ischium, pubic bone and the femoral head with the femoral neck and part of the femur. Furthermore, lines have been inserted on the neck of the femur and the femur, which allows for the division/classification of hip fractures.

The small supplementary model shows the interior of the hip joint and the changes that are characteristic of hip osteoarthritis.

Movement-wise

In terms of movement, the joint model is flexible and can therefore be used to demonstrate movements in the hip joint.

Clinically speaking

Clinically speaking, this package solution is ideal for understanding hip osteoarthritis and the characteristic changes in the joint. The model is also ideal for understanding fractures - especially for dividing into collum femoris fractures, pertrochanteric fractures and subtrochanteric fractures.

The model can also be used to understand other disorders such as intra-articular sprains, internal sprains, external sprains and luxation (slipped joints).
