Ethics
Horse skeletons from eAnatomi are obtained through collaboration with animal hospitals and private donors in Europe. The horses have either died of natural causes or have been euthanized due to disease. We only work with horses from known sources.

Quality
All horse skeletons are different, but together they undergo a complicated and lengthy process that includes dissection as well as a chemical degreasing and antimicrobial process in several steps. The processing time often extends to approximately 3-4 months from the time the horse is received until the skeleton can be assembled. The skeleton must also meet high requirements in terms of degreasing and general bone quality in order to be approved for assembly.

Most horses have an average height at the withers of about 150 cm and consist of about 205 individual bones. If the horse has been euthanized, there will often be a bolt hole in the forehead of the skull. It is possible to request a special size horse if this is desired. Price and delivery time will be affected by this.

The skeleton is mounted in a natural standing position and supported on a stand of two metal rods and continuous metal parts. The assembled skeleton is mounted on a stand with 6 heavy-duty wheels underneath, so the skeleton can be moved.

Aesthetics
We only work on one skeleton at a time. The preparation of the bones and the assembly itself are carried out by our permanently attached professional conservator with more than 30 years of experience working with animals, including the treatment and assembly of educational specimens and skeletons, many of which are taught at the world's leading universities. All bones included in assembled skeletons appear white and natural, due to the thorough degreasing and preparation that precedes assembly.

Because skeletons of this caliber have an incredibly long lifespan and are therefore usually part of the teaching material for several generations, eAnatomi always delivers the skeletons on a beautiful and stable wooden stand. It is possible to order a mounted brass plate on which, for example, manufacturing wounds and owner information appear.

Internship and Delivery
Due to the risk of damage during transport, the entire model is delivered with the stand, skull, front and hind limbs (extremities) and tail removed. All parts are securely packed in a specially produced wooden box with wooden feet that are adapted to the individual skeleton. The box is usually around 260 cm long, depending on the size of the individual horse skeleton. The wooden box is filled with box filling before being closed securely. The feet on the box enable transport with a pallet lift. After delivery, assembly is easy and does not take long. When the model is assembled, the horse skeleton is attached to the stand via the 2 metal rods, so that the skeleton can be rolled around and studied easily and conveniently. Assembly instructions with pictures are included.

NB: Horse skeletons are delivered without hooves.
