Description

This model shows the kidney with the renal stalk as well as the adrenal gland.


The model weighs approximately 0.5 kg and measures 20 x 12 x 12 cm. It can be separated into 2 parts and is delivered on a white stand.
Anatomically speaking

Anatomically, the model shows the right kidney incl. the adrenal gland. Furthermore, the "renal stalk" is seen with blood vessels to and from the kidney and the renal pelvis. The beginning of the ureter is also included.



When the kidney is separated, a longitudinal section of the majority of the kidney is seen (see images on the left). Anatomical structures such as the bark, the medulla in the form of pyramids, blood vessels and the entire renal pelvis are seen.

Clinically speaking

Clinically speaking, the kidney model can be used to understand disorders and diseases such as kidney insufficiency, inflammatory conditions, kidney stones, hydronephrosis and kidney tumors.



Furthermore, the model can be used to understand examinations such as ultrasound examination, CT urography and kidney function examination as well as treatment such as relief of drainage obstruction.
