Description

If you are looking for a complete model of an arm where all muscles from shoulder to hand can be identified, we would recommend this model.

The model is produced in SOMSO plastic by the manufacturer SOMSO, which is world-renowned for very high quality. This means quality materials, a sense of accuracy and longevity.

The model is produced in natural size. It weighs 5.1 kg and the dimensions are 38 x 38 x 81 cm (length x width x height). It comes on a stand with a green base and can be separated into 24 parts.

Anatomically speaking

Anatomically, the model shows the skeletal part from the clavicle and shoulder blade to the bones of the hand. Since the focus of the model is muscles, the various joints are shown without detail. The model's joints are also not movable. No vessels and nerves are visible either.

The following muscle groups are represented on the skeletal part:

Shoulder muscles incl. 4 muscles of the rotator cuff (also called the rotator cuff)
Muscles of the upper arm (front and back muscle group)
Muscles of the forearm (front and back muscle group)

In addition, color markings for all muscles have been made on all bones. Red color symbolizes origin and blue color attachment. Both the above-mentioned muscles that are represented on the model and the many that are not (especially in the hand) can thus be found via the colors. That is, via performance.

Movement-wise
Clinically speaking

Clinically speaking, this model is ideal for understanding muscle and tendon related disorders such as muscle pain, muscle soreness, tendinitis such as biceps tendinitis as well as tennis and golfer's elbow.

As the model shows the muscles of the shoulder, it is also ideal for understanding disorders such as impingement syndrome, rotator cuff injury and osteoarthritis (wear and tear) in the acromioclavicular joint. It can of course also be used to understand the many different fracture types in the extensive skeletal part.
