Shoulder, anatomical model in 10 parts

Description

Perhaps the best-looking shoulder model in the range.

It is produced in SOMSO plastic by the manufacturer SOMSO, which is world-renowned for very high quality, which means quality materials, sense of accuracy and long life. It is made in the natural size of the shoulder, and the dimensions are 26 x 20 x 23.5 cm

(length x width x height). It weighs 1.45 kg and is delivered on a stand with a green base.

Anatomically speaking

Anatomically speaking, the shoulder model shows part of the humerus, shoulder blade and clavicle - therefore also the shoulder joint and the acromioclavicular joint.

The model also shows all the muscles of the shoulder including the 4 muscles of the rotator cuff (also called the rotator cuff):

m. subscapularis, m. supraspinatus, m. infraspinatus and m. teres minor.

Furthermore, there are color markings for the attachments/protrusions of other muscles in the region (in red and dark blue).

Motorically

In terms of movement, the joint model is not flexible and therefore cannot be used to demonstrate the shoulder movements. However, the muscles can be removed, as it can be separated into 10 parts.

Clinically

Clinically, the model is ideal for understanding impingement syndrome, rotator cuff injury, biceps tendinitis and other muscular disorders and problems.

It can also be used to understand disorders such as frozen shoulder, osteoarthritis (wear and tear) in the acromioclavicular joint and shoulder instability. Finally, it can of course also be used to understand fractures, dislocations and sprains.
