Anatomically speaking

Anatomically, the model shows part of the radius (the coil bone), part of the ulna (the elbow bone) and the entire hand (manus). The model also shows many ligaments, which belong to the many joints of the hand. Furthermore, the model shows the retinaculum flexorum and the membrana interossea antebrachii.
Movement-wise

In terms of movement, the joint model is flexible because the ligaments are elastic. The model can thus be used to demonstrate movements in the joints - especially in the wrist (see the pictures on the left).
