Description

Unique and transparent model of T11, T12 and all lumbar vertebrae, sacrum and coccyx including nerves.


Mounted on the stand, the model measures 40.5 cm x 18.5 cm x 19 cm and weighs approximately 0.9 kg. The model's vertebrae are held together by a thick spring. The model comes with a removable stand in white acrylic and metal stick.
Anatomically speaking

Anatomically, the model shows the two lower thoracic vertebrae T11 and T12 as well as the 5 lumbar vertebrae in the lower back, the sacrum with the coccyx molded into one. Therefore, the model shows the two most important joint types in the spinal column, which are the symphyses (disci/discs) between the vertebral bodies and the facet joints which are sliding joints between the articular facets of the vertebrae. Overall, the bone quality is good, and therefore, for example, larger protrusions are seen in the bone tissue.



As for nerves, the model shows the lumbar, sacral and coccygeal spinal nerves (with both anterior and posterior radix).
Movement-wise

The model is flexible in terms of movement. The human spine has a high degree of mobility in the lumbar region (which is lordotic). This model can be used to demonstrate the most important movements in the lumbar region, which are flexion-extension, lateral flexion and rotation.



It is possible to see the course of the nerves through the sacral canal as well as the Y-shaped canals in its lateral wall.
Clinically speaking

Clinically speaking, this model is ideal for understanding disorders such as disc herniation, scoliosis, root affection, back pain, spondylosis, spinal stenosis and osteoarthritis (arthrosis).



It can also be used to understand fractures etc

If the item is listed as in stock , it is physically located at our address in Frederiksberg and can therefore be shipped or picked up. When ordering, choose what you want.

If you wish to pick up the item, this can often take place immediately after ordering, but must be agreed with us. If you wish to have it shipped , this will be done via Postnord and often the same day the order is received.
