Description

If you are looking for a bone set that consists of very lifelike bones, is suitable for study use and is sold at an attractive price, we highly recommend this.

The bone set is purchased especially by students in physiotherapy, occupational therapy, psychomotor training and other similar programs where the anatomy of the musculoskeletal system must be learned.

The bone set is developed for study use, and the quality of the bone casts is good. The bones show precise reproductions of anatomical details, which is crucial when learning or repeating the origin and attachment of skeletal muscles. Despite this, it is in the low price range. The whole thing is delivered in a cardboard box .

NB: In the cardboard box, the bones are packed in a bag. Many people find it an advantage to store the bones in an aluminum box with foam inserts (shown in the picture on the left), which can be purchased separately .

NB: If you are a medical student, we would instead recommend our German-made bone set, which is used in medical education.

Anatomically speaking

Anatomically speaking, the set of bones includes the bones that make up the human skeleton as well as the 32 teeth and rib cartilage. The cardboard box contains the following:

A classic skull where the skull cap ("the top") can be removed and the lower jaw bone ("the mandible") is held in place via a relatively long metal spring, which is attached via screws to the mandible and palatine bone. The mandible can be moved

A combined vertebral column (columna vertebralis) with discs (disci) which are held together via a nylon cord from the 1st cervical vertebra (C1/atlas) to the sacrum (os sacrum) incl. tail bone (os coccygis)

Hyoid bone (os hyoideum), sternum (sternum) incl. cartilage and ribs from the right side

The collarbone (clavicle), shoulder blade (scapula), upper arm bone (humerus), elbow bone (ulna) and coil bone (radius) from the right side

Left hand (manus) assembled via steel wire to maintain the natural position of the bones in relation to each other

The hip bone (os coxae), the thigh bone (femur), the kneecap (patella), the shin bone (tibia) and the calf bone (fibula) from the right side

Left foot (pedis) assembled via steel wire to maintain the natural position of the bones in relation to each other.

The precise reproductions of the anatomical details of the bones means, for example, that the linea aspera with the medial and lateral labium are evident on the back of the femur.

The skull shows the individual bones that make up the braincase and facial skeleton. In addition, the human skull contains many holes and channels containing vessels and nerves. Overall, there are connections between the braincase and the neck, to and from the eye socket, to and from the pterygo-palatine fossa and to and from the nasal cavity.

Many of the most important holes and canals are visible on the skull, but not all.

Movement-wise
Clinically speaking

Clinically speaking, the bone set is ideal for understanding many diseases, disorders and disorders in the skeleton.
