Description

This joint model shows the hip joint and associated ligaments.

It is produced in SOMSO plastic by the manufacturer SOMSO, which is world-renowned for very high quality, which means quality materials, sense of accuracy and long life.


It is made in the natural size of the hip joint and weighs 1.25 kg. The dimensions are 18 x 19 x 37 cm (length x width x height) and it comes on a removable stand.
Anatomically speaking

Anatomically, the model shows the iliac bone, ischium, pubic bone and the femoral head with the femoral neck and part of the femur. The bone structure is extremely realistic, and therefore important "osseous landmarks" such as knots and depressions are seen very clearly.

Wha. rubber, the model also shows the ligaments that belong to the hip joint.
Movement-wise

In terms of movement, the joint model is flexible and can therefore be used to demonstrate the various movements in the hip joint such as flexion-extension and external rotation-internal rotation.
Clinically speaking

Clinically speaking, the model is ideal for understanding, for example, hip fractures, luxation (joint slip) and external and internal spring hips.
