Description

Anatomical model of the bones in the upper extremity including the shoulder blade and clavicle (Scapula and Clavicula) of the highest quality.

The model is produced in SOMSO plastic, a unique and patented plastic that accurately reproduces surfaces and osseous landmarks and feels incredibly comfortable to work with. The arm skeleton is cast from real skeletal parts of an adult man, and is therefore particularly lifelike in both detail and size.

The SOMSO factory is world-renowned for very high quality. This means quality materials, a sense of accuracy and a long life. In other words: World-class craftsmanship.

The model is made in natural size with a length of 88 cm and a weight of 660 grams.

Anatomically speaking

Anatomically, the skeleton part shows all the bones in the hand, the 2 bones of the forearm, the upper arm, the shoulder blade and the clavicle (clavicle). Sesame bones are also seen.

The level of detail on the bones is really good. The scope of "osseous landmarks" includes both large details such as the tuberculum majus and minus on the humerus (upper arm bone) as well as smaller details such as the processus styloideus radii and ulnae. the joint surfaces are further polished and provide a unique tactical experience that is better than on any other manufacturer's models.

Movement-wise

In terms of movement, the bones are assembled on metal, which allows flexion and extension of e.g. wrist, elbow and shoulder, but make it difficult to demonstrate rotation, as are the finger bones and wrists limited by the steel wire running through them. The humerus can be detached from the shoulder blade completely.

Clinically speaking

Clinically speaking, the arm is ideal for understanding diseases, disorders, fractures and disorders in this part of the skeleton.
