Ethics
Horse skeletons from eAnatomi are obtained through collaboration with animal hospitals and private donors in Europe, where each horse is donated for teaching. The horses are therefore euthanized due to illness or death from natural causes. We only work with horses from known sources.

Quality
All horse skeletons are different, but together they undergo a complicated and lengthy process that includes both dissection and a chemical degreasing and antimicrobial process in several steps. The processing time often extends to several months from the time the horse donation is received until the skeleton can be assembled, and the skeleton must meet high requirements for degreasing and quality in order to be approved for assembly.

Most horse donations average 150-160 cm at the withers and consist of approximately 205 individual bones. The skeletons are often non-medically euthanized and therefore have bolt holes in the forehead.

The skeleton is mounted in a natural standing position and supported on a stand of two metal rods and continuous metal parts. The assembled skeleton is mounted on a stand with 6 heavy-duty wheels underneath, so the skeleton can be moved without difficulty.

Aesthetics
We only work on one skeleton at a time. The preparation of the bones and the assembly itself are carried out by our permanently attached professional conservator, who has more than 30 years of experience working with animals, including the treatment and assembly of teaching specimens and skeletons, many of which are included in teaching at the world's leading universities. All bones included in assembled skeletons appear white and natural, due to the thorough degreasing and preparation that precedes the assembly. Because skeletons of this caliber have an incredibly long lifespan and are therefore usually part of the teaching material for several generations, eAnatomi always delivers the skeletons on a beautiful and stable wooden stand with a mounted brass plate on which the year of creation and supplier information appear. On request, the information on the brass plate can be customized.

Internship and Delivery
Due to the risk of damage during transport, the entire model is delivered with the stand, skull, front and hind limbs (extremities) and tail removed. All parts are securely packed in a specially produced wooden box with wooden feet that can be up to 260 cm long, depending on the size of the individual horse skeleton. The wooden box is filled with box filling before being closed securely. The feet on the box enable transport with a pallet lift. After delivery, assembly is easy and does not take long. When the model is assembled, the horse skeleton is attached to the stand via the 2 metal rods, so that the skeleton can be rolled around and studied easily and conveniently. Assembly instructions with pictures are included.

NB: Horse skeletons are generally delivered without hooves.

eAnatomi delivers horse skeletons worldwide and obtains shipping quotes depending on the destination and the size of the horse. As a rule, delivery is made with DHL.

Delivery time
Since the delivery of real horse skeletons is affected by the dynamics of supply and demand, when ordering a real horse skeleton, the delivery time typically varies between 2-4 months, which is specified when ordering or inquiring.
