Description

Are you the person who does not compromise on quality? And are you looking for an enlarged heart model that also includes the conduction system? Here you see the heart model made for people like you.


It is produced in SOMSO plastic by the manufacturer SOMSO, which is world-renowned for very high quality. The heart model is approximately twice the size of a natural heart and can be divided into 4 pieces.


It weighs 1.25 kg and the dimensions are 18 x 18 x 32 cm (length x width x height). It is delivered on a stand with a green base.
Anatomically speaking

Anatomically speaking, you are presented with the most realistic heart tissue we have seen to date. The heart tissue is really reddish brown, the subpericardial adipose tissue looks like real adipose tissue and smaller anatomical structures are extremely complex to look at - just like in reality.



You can see the 4 chambers, the auricles, the heart's blood supply (arteries and veins), the 4 valves based on the sac valve and mitral valve system, the beginning of the blood vessels that carry blood to and from the heart as well as impressive details of the heart's structure (i.e. endo-, myo- and pericardium).



The impulse conduction system is shown in a very educational way, so that you can see the course from the sinus node onwards through the other important structures such as the Atrioventricular node, the bundle of His and the crura.

Clinically speaking

Clinically speaking, the model does not show anything pathological (in terms of disease), but it is ideal for understanding conduction disorders such as atrial fibrillation (atrial fibrillation), AV block and bundle branch block. It is also ideal for understanding heart diseases such as valve disease, inflammation, atherosclerosis and blood clots.
