Description

This complete model shows the kidneys incl. the adrenal glands, ureters and urinary bladder in both sexes and other retroperitoneal structures.


The model weighs approximately 2.4 kg and the dimensions are 41 x 31 x 15 cm. The urinary bladder (including its relation to some of the internal genitalia) can be replaced so that it can be seen in both sexes. The model is delivered on a stand (plastic sheet).
Anatomically speaking

Anatomically speaking, the model primarily shows the kidneys incl. the adrenal glands as well as the ureters and urinary bladder. The front part of the right kidney can be removed so that the interior of the kidney can be seen in longitudinal section. In addition to the "renal stalk" with blood vessels and the renal pelvis, the kidney's cortex, medulla in the form of pyramids, smaller blood vessels and the entire renal pelvis with calices can be seen.



The course of the ureters to the urinary bladder is seen with relationships to blood vessels and other tissues. In addition to the urinary tract, you can see i.a. several skeletal muscles, large blood vessels, several lumbar vertebrae, the iliac crests, etc. inguinale, rectum and symphysis pubica in relation to the urinary bladder.



The bladder can be replaced so that it can be seen in both sexes. It is seen in relation to some of the internal genitalia (see the pictures on the left).

Clinically speaking

Clinically speaking, the model can be used to understand many disorders and diseases. It can be, for example, kidney insufficiency, inflammatory conditions, kidney and bladder stones, hydronephrosis, tumors in the various organs or some of the other causes of blood in the urine.



Furthermore, the model can be used to understand examinations such as kidney function examination, ultrasound examination, CT urography as well as treatments such as placing a nephrostomy and JJ catheter.

Delivery / pickup

If the item is listed as in stock , it is physically located at our address in Frederiksberg and can therefore be shipped or picked up. When ordering, choose what you want.

If you wish to pick up the item, this can often take place immediately after ordering, but must be agreed with us. If you wish to have it shipped , this will be done via Postnord and often the same day the order is received.
