Description

If you are looking for a heart model where the focus is on the heart valves, this package solution is ideal. The package solution consists of a detailed heart model and a small supplementary model of the 4 heart valves.


The heart model can be separated into 5 parts, which are held together via small magnets. It is all delivered on a plate and measures 25 x 21 x 13 cm.
Anatomically speaking

Anatomically speaking, the heart model shows the 4 chambers, the auricles, the heart's blood supply (arteries and veins), the 4 valves based on the sac valve and mitral valve system, the beginning of the blood vessels that carry blood to and from the heart and a hint that the heart's structure consists of 3 different layers (endo-, myo- and pericardium). The coronary sinus is also included. The heart's impulse conduction system is not seen.



The supplementary model shows the "fibrous skeleton" of the heart around the AV ostia with flap valves as well as the aortic and pulmonary ostia with pouch valves.

Clinically speaking, the 2 models show nothing pathological (in terms of disease) but many anatomical structures in which disease can occur.



The supplementary model of the heart valves is ideal for explaining and understanding diseases related to the valves. At the same time, you can use the supplementary model to describe the closing lines of the valves and much else, while the heart model can for example be used to describe the connection of the AV valves to the papillary muscles via the chordae tendinae.
