Description

This model is ideal for understanding acne/acne.

The skin model measures 10 x 10 x 11.5 cm and is enlarged in relation to the skin of a human.

The model is delivered on a stand (white plastic sheet).

A simplified map is included, on which you can see a picture of the model. On the card, 3 skin changes are indicated using lines and English names (see the pictures on the left).
Anatomically speaking

Anatomically, the model shows some hair and the skin's two layers, the epidermis and the dermis. The subcutis is also shown.



The epidermis consists primarily of keratinocytes, which create a layered structure due to their displacement upwards towards the skin surface. On the model, however, the epidermis appears uniform and without details.



Nerves, blood vessels, hair follicles with attached smooth muscle (m. arrector pili) and sweat and sebaceous glands are seen in the dermis.



Some of the subcutaneous tissue is also shown in yellow at the bottom, which symbolizes fat cells (since the subcutaneous tissue mainly consists of fat cells).



In addition, a pustule and 2 comedones (respectively open and closed) are seen, which characterizes acne.

Since the hair follicle and the sebaceous gland are also seen, the model can be used to understand the genesis of acne, which results, among other things, in occlusion of the follicle and retention of sebum and keratin.

Delivery / pickup

If the item is listed as in stock , it is physically located at our address in Frederiksberg and can therefore be shipped or picked up. When ordering, choose what you want.

If you wish to pick up the item, this can often take place immediately after ordering, but must be agreed with us. If you wish to have it shipped , this will be done via Postnord and often the same day the order is received.

If the item is listed as ' shipped directly from the factory ', the delivery time is usually 2-5 business days, but depends on the factory's stock status. If you want more precise information, you can always contact us before ordering.
